Beargrass Camp Coffee

The coffee that gets the ranch up. Rosa worked out this blend with a small Montana roaster — dark, full-bodied, and strong enough to stand up to a six-a.m. start in a cold saddle, but smooth enough to drink black all morning. Good in a percolator over a wall-tent stove or a French press in the lodge kitchen.

Cowboy coffee has a reputation for being punishing, and there's a reason — out here you need something that wakes you up before the horses do. Rosa dialed in this blend with a small roaster down the valley: a dark roast with body and a low, chocolatey finish, built to drink black, hot, and strong off a wall-tent stove at first light. No bitterness, no fuss — just coffee that does the job.

We brew it by the gallon at the cookhouse and on the backcountry pack trips, and guests started asking for a bag to take home, so now we sell it ground or whole bean in a hand-stamped sack. Roasted in small lots so it reaches you fresh. Wherever your morning starts, this'll start it the way ours does — early, dark, and worth getting up for.
